# Orbit > Orbit is a free desktop app that shows every Claude Code session across all your projects in one window. It shows which sessions are working, which are waiting for your answer and which are idle, and lets you open any of them straight away. It runs entirely on your own computer: no account, no telemetry, no network calls. Orbit is made for developers who run several Claude Code (Anthropic's command-line coding agent) sessions at the same time. It is an independent project and is not made by Anthropic. Status: coming soon for macOS and Windows, including Claude Code running in WSL. It needs the Claude Code CLI installed and signed in. Price: free, with no paid tier. ## What it does - One overview of all Claude Code sessions, past and running, grouped by project, with title, git branch and age. - Live state per session: working, needs you (Claude asked for permission or a choice), your turn (Claude finished its reply), done or idle. A pixel-art "office" shows each working session with its subagents at their own desks. - A notification and an app-icon badge when a session in Orbit needs you, including what it wants to do (for example "wants to run terraform plan"). - Runs the real `claude` CLI in embedded terminals, so your own settings, hooks and MCP servers keep working. Orbit does not replace Claude Code. - A file panel per session that lists the files that session edited, with the change per edit. Paths in terminal output are clickable. - Search across everything you asked and everything Claude answered, in every project. - Weekly token usage per project, subagents included. The history is kept after Claude Code cleans up old session files. ## Privacy - Everything stays on your computer. Orbit blocks all outgoing network requests from its own window and has no server. - It only reads Claude Code's data in `~/.claude` and never writes to it. - The file viewer refuses credentials such as SSH keys, cloud credentials, `.npmrc` and shell history. ## Links - [Website](https://orbitsessions.dev/): overview, screenshots and status
